Vintage cards with certified autographs up for auction that ends today

Modern collectors often chase prospect cards with autographs because those usually have the greatest value.

But for vintage card collectors, most of the value can be found in the scarcity of cards that are in great condition since most don’t come with autographs certified on-card by the card company themselves.

Sometimes though it’s nice to have a vintage card with the autograph personally signed by the player and certified by grading companies for legitimacy. For those collectors, there are several up on eBay with all of the following auctions ending today.

All these Gold Refractors up for sale today including top prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Sure there are more rare refractors out there with lower serial numbered sports cards out there – like the red and orange refractors.

But the gold refractor, which is numbered to 50 and one of the original refractors, still commands great value.

It’s fun to chase that rare autographed low-numbered colored refractor sports cards.

But having a few vintage baseball cards in one’s collection is pretty amazing too.

If you believe this one Forbes article, the 500 most valuable trading cards does better than the S&P 500 index. Many of these cards are vintage trading cards in good condition.

For high end collectors, the superfractor sports cards of top prospects and rookies are the most valuable.

And to own one commonly means dishing out thousands, tens of thousands, and in some cases, hundreds of thousands of dollars. It’s the price of being able to say you own the only copy of that particular card.

Collecting one-of-a-kind superfractor baseball cards

It’ll take deep pockets to start collecting superfractors, but is there anything like being able to say you’re the only one in the world to own that particular card.

Superfractors are serial numbered 1/1 and most are easy to recognize with their gold spiral background.

If the card has an autograph on it and is graded by a reputable grading service company, the value of the card increases even further.

And if the card is a rookie of a superstar player, six figures isn’t out of the question.
