Iconic 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan graded rookie cards up for auction including PSA 10

It wasn’t too long ago when we posted about a bunch of 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan graded rookie cards were up for auction.

But today, there’s another several iconic graded rookie cards of the Chicago Bulls/Washington Wizards great up for auction on eBay.

And again, one of them is graded a Gem Mint PSA 10 (which at last count was going for more than $27K with another several hours to go).

So many 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan graded basketball cards up for auction today (including a PSA 10!)

It’s one of the most iconic basketball (sports?) cards in existence featuring the best (arguably) who’s ever played the game.

The 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan basketball card is one of the most counterfeited cards in the hobby, which makes getting a graded card a lot more valuable to give some peace of mind.

And to get one with a high grading is rare due in part to its multi-colored border, which can chip easily (a PSA 10 is currently going for $25K plus!).

King Lebron James autographed rookie basketball card will sell for more than $23K

For high-end collectors of rookie basketball cards, there are a few that are worth collecting.

One of them is Lebron James, a generational player and a future hall of famer.

And his 2003 Ultimate Collection autographed rookie card numbered to just 250 (and BGS Graded GEM MINT 9.5/10) is currently up for eBay auction at more than $23,000 as of Sunday evening.

With the auction ending Monday, April 23 at 9:32 p.m. EST, this card will sell but for how much is the question.

Nothing like opening a fresh pack and scoring a huge hit – like a Michael Jordan Fleer rookie card

Here’s a tweet with an embedded video showing the opening of a 1986 Fleer Basketball box, which of course has the iconic Michael Jordan rookie card.

Seems like getting an unopened box of the 1986 set is quite the feat in itself. But to open one and get not one, not two but three Jordan rookies from the box is pretty amazing.

If you check on eBay, one that’s PSA Graded 10 is currently listed for $30,000 (click link to see eBay listing).

A PSA Graded 9 goes for significantly less at $5,699.99.

For those who like cards that are graded by Beckett, there’s a Fleer Jordan rookie that’s BGS Graded 9.5, which is listed for $11,955.

Wonder how much the three that were just pulled will go for once they’re graded?

Remember the Dream Team? U.S. Olympic basketball team won gold 25 years ago today

Was it even fair?

The U.S. Olympics basketball team in 1992 dominated the competition during the first year that professional basketball players were allowed to compete.

With names like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley and John Stockton (to name just five), it seemed inevitable the gold was theirs for the taking.

Lebron James and his top 3 rookie cards

With the NBA finals underway, check out what we think our the top 3 rookies cards for the King Lebron James.

James, who is a tour de force for the Cleveland Cavaliers, is leading his hometown team to #DefendTheLand after winning the championship last year.

In honor of the King, here’s our opinion of the three top rookie cards to add to your basketball collection.

Michael Jordan’s iconic 1986 Fleer rookie card up on the auction block

As of March 15, 2017, there’s five days left until the auction for the iconic 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card (PSA Graded GEM MT 10) ends.

It’s already reached the $18,000 mark being auctioned off via PWCC and may go a little higher. Recent winning bids have ranged from $18,000 to $20,000.
